Maintenance Guide for Travertine Wall Cladding

Apply a penetrating, breathable stone sealer to exterior travertine cladding upon installation and re-apply every 3–5 years. Interior cladding in dry environments may not require sealing at all. Avoid film-forming sealers on exterior facades, as they can trap moisture and cause spalling in freeze-thaw climates.

Clean exterior cladding periodically with low-pressure water and a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Avoid acidic cleaners and aggressive high-pressure jets that can etch or open the surface—follow the sealer/stone care data sheet for pressure limits.
