Geological Heritage
Turkey sits at the convergence of the Anatolian, Eurasian, and Arabian tectonic plates. Millions of years of geological activity have created one of the world's richest concentrations of natural stone deposits.
Key Facts
Quarry Regions
Each region produces distinctive stone types shaped by unique geological conditions. Explore the origins of our premium collection.
World's Largest Travertine Deposits
Home to the famous Pamukkale thermal springs, Denizli produces Classic, Light, Silver, Noce, and Gold travertine. The region's hot spring deposits create travertine with exceptional color range and quality.
Premium White Marble
Afyon White (Sugar Marble) is among Turkey's most prized stones. Ultra-white crystalline marble with a sugar-like grain. Also produces Afyon Grey and Violet varieties.
Beige Marble Capital
Known for Burdur Beige, one of Turkey's most exported marbles. Warm beige tones with subtle veining. Also produces Rose and Cream marble varieties.
White Marble & Special Varieties
Mugla White marble rivals Italian Carrara in brightness. The region also produces unique varieties like Mugla Cream and various colored marbles.
Diverse Marble Varieties
Produces a wide range of marble varieties including Bilecik Beige, Dark Emperador, and various brown and grey marbles for commercial projects.
Onyx & Specialty Stones
One of Turkey's primary sources for honey onyx and specialty translucent stones. These premium materials are used for luxury backlit applications and statement pieces.
We arrange factory visits and provide direct quarry access for our clients.
From Quarry to Project
How raw stone blocks become premium finished products ready for your project.
Large stone blocks (typically 2-3m x 1.5m x 1.5m) are extracted from the quarry using diamond wire saws and chain cutters. Modern methods minimize waste and environmental impact.
Raw blocks are transported to processing factories where gang saws or bridge saws cut them into slabs of specified thickness (typically 2cm or 3cm).
Slabs are calibrated to exact thickness, then cut to final tile dimensions using automated CNC cutting lines for precision and consistency.
Tiles receive their specified finish: honed, polished, brushed, tumbled, or bush-hammered. Each finish uses specialized equipment and multiple passes.
Every piece is inspected for color consistency, dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and structural integrity. Pieces not meeting specifications are rejected.
Tiles are packed in wooden crates with foam protection, loaded into containers under supervision, and shipped via CIF or FOB terms worldwide.
Sustainability
Modern Turkish quarries and factories implement comprehensive environmental management systems to minimize ecological impact.
Processing factories recycle 90-95% of water used in cutting and polishing operations through closed-loop filtration systems, dramatically reducing freshwater consumption.
Exhausted quarry sites undergo systematic rehabilitation including soil restoration, native plant reintroduction, and landscape recontouring to restore natural habitats.
Wet-cutting techniques and dust suppression systems minimize airborne particles. Sound barriers and operational hour restrictions protect surrounding communities.
Quarry and processing waste is repurposed for aggregate, road construction, landscaping, and calcium carbonate production — minimizing landfill disposal.
Our Quarry Network
With 20+ years in the Turkish stone industry, we have built direct partnerships with the finest quarries and processing facilities across all major regions.
We maintain long-term relationships with premium quarries in Denizli, Afyon, and Burdur. These partnerships give our clients priority access to the best blocks and competitive pricing.
We organize guided visits to our partner quarries and factories for serious buyers. See the extraction process, inspect raw blocks, and approve material in person.
Our team conducts regular quality audits at partner facilities. We monitor production standards, inspect finished material, and supervise loading to ensure consistent quality.
We arrange guided tours for architects, builders, and stone professionals.
